Grouping, filtering & sorting

Grouping

You can group tasks based on various criteria, including built-in fields such as Assignee, Status, Created by, or any custom field available in your views. To group tasks:

  1. Click the Group by button located on the top bar of the view.
  2. Select the field by which you wish to group your tasks.

Filtering

To filter your data within a view, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Filter button on the top bar of the view.
  2. In the filters popup, click + Add filter.
  3. Choose the field and specify the filtering criteria. You can filter tasks based on fields like Assignee, Due date, or any custom fields.

If you add multiple filters, you'll see the AND/OR button next to each filter. You can also add a filter group by clicking the + Add group button. Between filter groups, you will also see the AND/OR option. Both within groups and between groups, you can configure how filters interact, allowing you to create complex filtering conditions.

Sorting

To sort your tasks:

  1. Click the Sort by button on the top bar of the view.
  2. Select the field you want to sort by, and choose whether the sorting should be Ascending or Descending.
  3. You can add multiple sorting criteria and reorder them by dragging and dropping the fields.

Sorting occurs in the order you define. Tasks will be sorted by the first field, and for tasks with the same value in the first field, the second and third sorting criteria will apply.
